THE eMOD SAFETY HERO AWARD
Recognizing those who make commercial construction safer for everyone
Sometimes, the right thing to do isn’t the easiest. That’s especially true in the world of commercial construction, where the pressure to deliver on time and on budget often conflict with the fundamental need to do our work safely.
That’s why it’s important to celebrate those who consistently meet basic safety standards — and go above and beyond to make projects safer for everyone involved.
WHAT IS THE AWARD?
Once a month, eMOD highlights someone working in the commercial construction industry who practices their craft with a safety-first approach. We recognize heroes who put safety ahead of productivity, who take action today to make our work safer tomorrow, who do the right thing rather than the most convenient. They promote accountability among team members, champion the latest safety practices, and encourage transparency about hazardous situations as they arise in the moment.

NOMINEE REQUIREMENTS:
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, so our requirements are minimal:
REQUIREMENT 1
Safety Heroes must be actively working within the United States (including Puerto Rico).
REQUIREMENT 2
They have never won this award before. You can re-nominate candidates who were previously submitted in a previous year as long as they are still eligible and have not won the award.
REQUIREMENT 3
They are willing to be featured on the eMOD blog. We’ll interview the winners and share their stories each month!
